Prologue “Life comes full circle”

Originally posted May 6,2022

When I was but 3 years old, my parents, newly born sister and I moved onto this 40 acre plot of woodland a couple of miles outside of Gainesville, FL. I spent my youth in the woods, informally learning about life, love, nature, and hard work.

Now at 51 years, my wife and I are preparing to return to this land to help my mother care for my father whose health is failing, and rebuild the farm into a source of produce and livestock.

We couldn’t be happier to be set on this path, and excited for the challenges we will be facing!

  1. That is so cool. Taking care of my mom, but not going to last much longer at 88 and multiple things wrong with her. Me and my fiancé for the last year been looking for a place. Keep on keeping on bro, I’m 65 and in good shape cause I never stop doing stuff. We both are critical care RN and understand what effort it is to care for land and family!
